Three Flying Fish

May 25, 2025

On May 19th, a special boat arrived at Hope University, marking a significant milestone for Anna Rowan and Harry. This isn't just any boat; it's named Gill, in honor of sponsor Gillian Ashcroft, and it's about to embark on an incredible journey.

Anna and Harry are preparing to row the Atlantic Ocean! Their epic 3,000-mile adventure will kick off on December 10th, taking them from La Gomera to Antigua. They expect the journey to last between 40 and 60 days, all to raise money for a children's cancer charity.

I'll be heading to Burnham on Crouch in Essex from May 30th to June 1st for the official launch of Gill. I'll be there representing Liverpool Heartbeat, who have generously sponsored all the nutrition for Hannah and Harry's journey.

Beyond the launch, I'm also planning to be in La Gomera to wave them off as they begin their monumental row. And, with a bit of luck, I hope to be in Antigua to welcome them home after their incredible feat.

It's inspiring to see that all the funding for this challenging journey has come directly from Liverpool people through the tireless work of Bernie Hollywood, highlighting the incredible support for Anna Rowan and Harry's mission.
