John Hulley Golf Cup
The idea for the John Hulley Golf Cup began back in 2012, when my friend Ray Parr and I organised a one‑off golf day at Formby Hall in honour of Liverpool legend John Hulley. It was a wonderful day, but life moved on and we couldn’t repeat it at the time.
Keeping John Hulley’s Legacy Alive, One Cup at a Time
Years later, my son Stephen joined a golf society led by Barry Fairfield. I mentioned my hope of creating an annual event, and Stephen shared the idea with Barry — who was more than happy to make it happen.
The next year we held the first official John Hulley Cup at Allerton Golf Club, and the following year we returned to Formby Hall for another fantastic day.
Thank you to all the golfers — your support keeps this tradition alive.
