LIVERPOOL HEARTBEAT SHINES AT LIVERPOOL COMIC BOOK DAY!
Liverpool Heartbeat was delighted to be part of the recent COMIC BOOK DAY held at Waterloo’s Plaza Community Cinema. The day was masterminded by former Marvel Editor Tim Quinn who has created Liverpool Heartbeat’s line of comic books.
The sparkling guest list at the event included cartoonists Lew Stringer and Nigel Parkinson from the Beano and Dandy, Charlie Adlard, illustrator of The Walking Dead, Leigh Gallagher from 2000AD and DC Comics, Jason Quinn, writer on Batman, Dicky Howett, cartoonist on Doctor Who, Nika Nartova, Beano colourist, Alan Cowsill, Marvel Comics editor and writer, Shane Chebsey, publisher on Dracula, Roag Aspinall Best from the Liverpool Beatles Museum and Colin Hanson drummer from John Lennon’s band, the Quarrymen. Liverpool Live Radio 24/7’s Roy Basnett and broadcasting legend Billy Butler teamed up to interview the Brothers Quinn.
The day long event was attended by crowds from far and wide and Liverpool Heartbeat’s comic books were snatched up by all. Here’s to the next one!
