That's The Way You Do It

January 15, 2026

The Liverpool theatre scene is about to get a whole lot more mysterious—and a lot more hilarious. The Elektric Apple, a vibrant and trailblazing disabled theatre group, is returning to the stage with their latest original production.

Known for breaking barriers and delivering high-energy performances, this group has built a formidable reputation both locally and nationally. From the prestigious stages of the Edinburgh Fringe to community hubs across the North West, The Elektric Apple proves that talent knows no bounds.

What sets The Elektric Apple apart is their commitment to fresh, homegrown storytelling. Under the creative vision of Art Director Nicola Broadley, the group performs entirely original scripts tailored to their unique flair.

Their portfolio is as diverse as it is imaginative, including past hits like:

Wizard of Otterspool: A whimsical local twist on a classic tale.

Scouse Side Story: A gritty, witty, and uniquely Liverpool take on musical drama.

Scissor Happy: A sharp-witted production that kept audiences on the edge of their seats.

Their latest venture takes us to the breezy (and slightly suspicious) shores of Blackpool.

"That’s The Way To Do It" is a comedy murder mystery set within the nostalgic, kitschy world of a Blackpool holiday camp.

Expect more than just a "Punch and Judy" show—this production is packed with twists, turns, and deep-seated intrigue. As the plot thickens between the chalets and the chips, the audience is invited to play detective. Can you guess who did it before the final curtain falls?

Don’t miss the chance to support inclusive local theatre and enjoy a night of top-tier comedy.

Location: The Liverpool Lighthouse, Oakfield Rd, Liverpool L4 0UF.

Date: 21st February 2026

Doors Open: 6:00 p.m.

Show Starts: 6:45 p.m.

Ticket Prices. Adults. £15. Children. £12

Whether you're a long-time fan of Nicola Broadley’s writing or a newcomer to the group's infectious energy, this show promises to be a highlight of the season.

The Elektric Apple is proud to highlight our long-standing association with Liverpool Heartbeat, a partnership that began in 2012.  "Liverpool Heartbeat has been a pillar of support for us for over a decade.

They generously fund the theatre spaces in which we perform, ensuring our stories always have a home. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing dedication to our group."

Elektric Apple are a Not for Profit Group, who receive no funding whatsoever.

I do hope you can join us for the evening.

Please support our raffle on the night, and all donations are always welcome
