The
John Hulley
Programme
A Six‑Week Journey of Confidence, Community and Play
Building confidence, connection and a love of being active
Your child is about to begin a six‑week athletics adventure inspired by the values and legacy of John Hulley — one of Liverpool’s most influential sporting pioneers. The programme is designed to help children discover the joy of being active, build confidence, work together and experience a wide range of athletics events in a fun, supportive environment.

Children will explore Hulley’s belief that a healthy mind and a healthy body belong together. They’ll hear from athletes, take part in Olympic‑style competitions, represent their team and celebrate their achievements with their classmates.
But this programme is about much more than sport.
It’s about confidence, resilience, teamwork and belonging. Every child has a role to play, and every child contributes to their team’s success.
A key aim of the programme is to show children that sport doesn’t have to end when the school day does.
Through partnerships with local athletics clubs and community organisations, families will be introduced to opportunities available right on their doorstep — helping children continue their sporting journey if they wish.
